Although expressing an unequal geographical and social process, the world is today ruled by movement. In many cases, these spatial human mobilities are organized into networks (diasporas) structured by diffusion centers and contact channels. Through these roads of movement, flows a stream of populations, but also a wide range of material and non‑‑material capital such as language and religion, ideas and further relevant expressions of economic and political power. In this more complex and flexible world, diasporas also express their identities through landscapes that, in the meantime, can be a significant touristic attraction but also a relevant political instrument.
